Collection: Champagne, Rose' & sparkling
Wine regions worldwide are producing heady sparkling wines. The most famous of these regions is Champagne, France. Only wines from this region can truly be called Champagne. In Champagne, only three grapes can be used to make a sparkling wine. These grapes are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. The second fermentation of theses juices, and the reason they sparkle, occurs in the bottle. In California, sparkling wine is often made in the same traditional way as the French employ. This is due in part to the fact that many French Champaign houses own the American wineries where the bubbly is made. Other leading countries in these styles of sparkling wine include Australia, Canada, South Africa and various South American countries. Great for celebratory events, our sparkling wine selection ranges from Extra Brut (the driest) to Brut (typical in Champagne, no sweetness) all the way to sparkling moscatos (sweet), having something to cover any palate!
